Arsenal showed to be properly focused ahead of next week's second Champions League clash with Manchester United, beating Portsmouth 0-3 on Saturday.
The Gunners went ahead on 13 minutes when Darren Bendner's powerful header left the keeper beaten, and were awarded a penalty when Sean Davis brought down Andrey Arshavin in minute 39. Bendtner made no mistake from the spot.
The third and, as it turned out, last goal was scored 11 minutes after the break as Carlos Alberto Vela's diagonal shot went into the far corner of the goal.
A foul from Noe Pamarot on Arshavin earned the perpetrator a red card in the 78th minute.
