Fulham did what they could in Saturday's London derby, but eventually couldn't help losing 3-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Nicolas Anelka scored the opener after just 51 seconds, sending a shot straight through the middle to beat keeper Schwarzer and give the hosts a dream start.
It didn't last long as Erik Nevland equalised three minutes later but Florent Malouda restored Chelsea's lead following a low right-winged pass from Drogba.
The third and final home goal came on 53 minutes. Anelka's precision pass left Didier Drogba with only the keeper to beat.
It was a deserved win although the amount of scoring opportunities in this match was in fact rather low.
