Athletic Bilbao had to come from behind to beat at bottom club Numancia 2-1.
They had to do for most of the match with only ten men after two yellow cards in the first twenty minutes saw Aitor Ocio given his marching orders.
Numancia also finished the match with ten men after Sergio Boris was given his red after two bookable offences and he left the field with twenty minutes left to play.
Domingo Cisma gave Numancia the lead after ten minutes while Athletic equalised through Gaizka Toquero on the half-hour mark and Fernando Llorente struck shortly into the second period to give Athletic their victory.
Athletic Bilbao move up to eleventh while Numancia are firmly entrenched at the bottom of La Liga and are looking definites for relegation.
