Osasuna beat ten-man Athletic Bilbao 2-1 to secure a third straight league win and move five points clear of the relegation zone with eight rounds of La Liga remaining.
Iran midfielder Masoud Shojaei gave Osasuna the lead after ten minutes, but Athletic hit back shortly afterwards through Aitor Ocio.
But the visitors were on the back foot for virtually the entire second half as Ocio was sent off after fifty minutes.
And Osasuna's constant pressure finally paid off ten minutes from time, when Sergio Fernandez slotted home the winner to propel the northerners into their highest position since the opening weekend of the season.
