Sporting Gijón vs. Racing Santander

Nikola Zigic opened the scoring nine minutes into the second half and the visitors had to withstand some strong Sporting pressure before sealing the three points right at the death thanks to substitute Gonzalo Colsa.

It could have all been so different, however, had Kike Mateo's goal not been harshly ruled out for offside fifteen minutes from time.

The result sees Racing move six points clear of the relegation zone while Sporting are now just three points clear and in very real danger of going straight back down.
