Malaga continued their unexpected challenge for a European spot after producing a clinical display to see off struggling Getafe 2-1 in a match that exploded into life following a painfully slow start.
First-half strikes from Eliseu and Nabil Baha set the promoted Andalusian team on their way and although Getafe pulled a goal back through Cosmin Contra in the second half, the visitors held on for a victory that moves them up to fifth.
