Lecce vs. Torino

Lecce had led 2-0 at half time through a brace by Gianni Munari. His first came from a powerful drive from just outside the box. Just on half time Munari scored his second off the rebound after Guillermo Giacomazzi's header from a corner was blocked on the line.

Early in the second half Torino fought back to equalise at 2-2. The scorers were Jurgen Saumel and Hernan Dellafiore. Saumel’s goal was an intended cross that drifted into the net. A cross from Alessandro Rosina was fired into the net by Dellafiore.

Jose Castillo put Lecce ahead in the seventy-third minute. A miscued clearance was picked up by Jose Castillo whose shot easily beat goalkeeper Matteo Sereni. This was short-lived when Cesare Natali drew the visitors level for the second time when he headed home a corner taken by Eugenio Corini.
