Real Betis vs. Espanyol

The first half was a highly entertaining one with both sides playing an attacking brand of football. It was apparent that Espanyol’s new coach had instilled a newfound confidence in the team as both sides created numerous goal-scoring opportunities.

Betis appeared to be heading for another victory when Achille Emana finally found the net after having been played in by Garcia after 57 minutes. The lead was short-lived however when Nene played a neat chip into the box. With the home defence pushing up for offside, substitute Coro was on hand to make good use of the time and space by sliding the ball past Casto.
