Blackburn Rovers move into the Premiership relegation zone following a 1-2 defeat by Sunderland on Saturday.
Rovers started well and opened the score just before the break. A corner from Morten Gamst Pedersen was headed home by Christopher Samba.
But Sunderland were better in the second half and didn't need long to equalise as Kenwyne Jones took advantage of a Robinson mistake to make it 1-1.
And where Blackburn were the winning side in Wednesday's Carling Cup clash, Sunderland now took the points as Djibril Cisse netted from a Malbranque pass in the 71st minute.
