Udinese vs. Genoa

Confidence was high in the Genoa side after their away draw against FC Internazionale last weekend and they came out showing intent. However they conceded as early as the fourth minute when Domenico Cristico was penalised for holding on to Antonio Floro Flores in the box. D’Agostino converted the spot kick. The score at half time was 1-0 to Udinese, who it musty be said were lucky to be ahead at the break.

Genoa were awarded a penalty in the sixty fourth minute when Aleksander Lukovic allegedly made contact with Genoa’s Anthony Van den Borre. Alberto Diego Milito scored from the spot. Three minutes later Genoa went into the lead when a pass from Milito found substitute Giuseppe Sculli who fired a fierce shot into the net. Seven minutes it was all square again when a cross from Simone Pepe was met on the volley by Fabio Quagliarella. The match continued to move from end to end as both sides sought the winner.
