Liverpool vs. PSV

Steven Gerrard reached a milestone when he scored his one hundredth goal for his club.

The Anfield faithful had to wait only four minutes for the first goal. A Gerrard corner found an unmarked Fernando Torres who shot first-time. Dirk Kuyt was on hand to fire home the rebound off Andreas Isaksson. Robbie Keane scored his first for the club since his move from Tottenham Hotspur during the summer. It came after thirty four minutes after Fernando Torres had torn away down the right. His low cross was met by Keane first-time and it nestled in the far bottom corner of the net. The third goal came via a free kick fourteen minutes from time when a fierce shot from twenty two metres out found the back of the net leaving Isaksson with no chance.

PSV hit back three minutes later, when substitute Balazs Dzsudzsak crossed from the right. The ball beat Jamie Carragher to allow Koevermans to get to it ahead of Skrtel, and he headed past Jose Reina from 10 metres.
